2020 Cadillac CT5 priced from $37,890, or less than a 3-Series

Cadillac’s focus has been on crossover SUVs for the last few years but the brand is bringing two new sedans for 2020: the compact CT4 and mid-size CT5. The latter has just been priced and will start from a very reasonable $37,890, including destination, thus continuing Cadillac’s strategy of offering more car for less bucks. For example, a BMW 3-Series starts just over $41,000, but at 185.7 inches in length is a full eight inches shorter than the CT5. 2020 Cadillac CT5 Luxury Although it hasn’t been priced yet, the…

2020 BMW 3-Series Sports Wagon revealed

There’s a redesigned BMW 3-Series in showrooms, and the small sport sedan has just spawned a wagon variant, which BMW in the United States refers to as a Sports Wagon. In other markets the 3-Series Sports Wagon is called a Touring. While it was initially thought the new 3-Series Sports Wagon would arrive in U.S. showrooms this year as a 2020 model, we’ve heard that the longroof is no longer planned for our market. That’s a real shame as the latest generation is quite the looker, and there are rumors…

2019 BMW 3-Series first drive review: Benchmark or bookmark?

The BMW 3-Series has made bank for decades off its undeniable clout. With its mastery of nimble steering feel and brilliant balanced handling, it’s oozed something from its pores that seeps into brains of enthusiasts like sugar, or mercury. When we talk about “sport sedans” it’s understood we really mean the 3-Series. But the 2019 BMW 3-Series is such a different thing today than the 3-Series was ten or 20 or 30 years ago. (Wind back the clock far enough and you’ll find a 3er to suit any extremist–er, purist.)…

BMW 3-Series GT: A niche too far?

2017 BMW 3-Series Gran Turismo BMW was one of the first automakers of the modern era to start exploring new niches when it launched vehicles like the original X6 and 5-Series Gran Turismo. While some of those niches have proven popular with buyers, others haven’t fared so well. One in particular not doing so well is BMW’s Gran Turismos, which were introduced to lure buyers looking for a higher seating position and extra space but weren’t interested in an SUV—specifically older types. But with more of its buyers choosing an…
